Here they are!
First week is always full of energy and laughter. Old and new friends get together and there is so much to talk about and so many things to do. We started the year with smiles on our faces. By Friday we all were a bit tired. It is not easy to get back to the routine of getting up early and going to bed earlier.
What did we do on our first week?
We read many stories. The favourite ones where two stories about Dust Bunnies. Do you have any of those at home? We wrote sentences together about what we like. We created our own version of the story``Baby Bear, Baby Bear What Do You See?`` It is on our classroom wall. Come and read it.
We practiced writing lower case letters because you never know maybe you have forgotten how to write them over the summer. Grade 1 students haven`t.
In Math we counted the objects and figured out which set has more and which has less. Every morning we count how many days we have been at school and see if it is an odd or even number.
I must say that usually the first week seems longer then others however this year it went by very quickly. Another week full of exploring is ahead.
